SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:
Opening in 2013, this exciting gallery chronicles the first two hundred years of US postage stamp history, gives the National Postal Museum much greater visibility, and restores the history of a significant DC landmark. Collaborating closely with a separate exhibit designer, CBH+A coordinated all systems including structural, A/V, temperature and humidity control, lighting and security, without compromising the beauty of existing historic features. A new mezzanine, grand staircase, and elevator connecting three floors was also inserted into the historic shell.
