SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:

Overlooking the Assawoman Bay, the Ocean City Convention Center improvements include the Phase 1 expansion of the Main Ballroom / Exhibit Hall and the Phase 2 Performing Arts Center. The exhibit hall adds 14,000 sf of additional space with bay views and boardwalk access, while the new bay front addition adds 12,000 sf of ballroom space with bay views to the existing 20,000 sf ballroom. The 1,200 seat Performing Arts Center includes two tiers of seating with state of the art lighting, audio, video, and stage equipment, as well as dressing rooms. GWWO, Inc. / Architects acted as consulting architect for the Preforming Arts Center. Project is a cooperative effort between the Maryland Stadium Authority and the Town of Ocean City. Previously in 1996, Becker Morgan Group was associated with Rosser International for a major expansion/renovation of Ocean City Convention Center. That project included a 50,000 sf exhibit hall; 30,000 sf meeting space; 20,000-25,000 sf ballroom; full-service banquet kitchen (to accommodate 2,000-2,500 people) and a loading dock with 6-8 bays
