SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT
100 Forge is a landmark building for life science research. Located within Arsenal Yards, an amenity-rich, mixed-use development, this state-of-the-art, nine-story building includes 165,600 GSF of space including a 50-50 split of laboratory and office space designed for cutting edge research
Situated along a mature woodland and the Charles River, the building offers western views to the park and dramatic eastern views to Cambridge and Boston city skylines.
Floor-to-ceiling, high-performance glass windows bring in maximal daylight, while an elegant vertical frit pattern in the glass helps to control sun glare. Terracotta-clad walls provide a sense of scale and warmth to the adjacent residential building.
The building’s southwest and southeast corners feature balconies with gracious outdoor decks, while a ninth-floor outdoor terrace frames spectacular views to downtown Boston. Adding depth, the massing is derived from angled glass forms that shift to create a crystalline series of profiles.
Shared amenities on the first floor include spacious conference rooms, semi-private pods that vary in size, an outdoor patio, and an event space with a hydraulic door connecting to a neighboring community park.
