The AIA Maryland Excellence in Design Awards program recognizes excellence in architectural design by AIA Maryland architects worldwide and for AIA member work in Maryland. Built and unbuilt projects submitted by AIA members are judged on their merit by a distinguished jury of AIA architects. The annual Design Awards provide member architects an avenue for peer recognition and honor the architects, clients, and consultants who work together to improve the built environment. With this program AIA Maryland hopes to encourage and recognize distinguished architectural achievement and raise public awareness of the Architect’s role in shaping the quality of life through design excellence in the community.
